Group Cruise: Embarkation
Start your day with a hearty and leisurely breakfast and later explore the town, or relax in your hotel room. Since you will only need to board/embark on your ship in the late afternoon, you can choose to spend the first half of the day any way you want. Board your ship and get to know your expedition team and fellow passengers. Your ship will sail through the Beagle Channel, heading towards the southernmost tip of South America. Settle into your room and later attend the safety briefing and orientation, where you could get all your queries answered. Enjoy your welcome dinner before you retire for the evening/night.
Group Cruise: Sailing the Drake
One of the main highlights of this journey is the chance to sail through the famous Drake Passage, named after Sir Francis Drake, the 16th-century British explorer. Onboard, attend enlightening lectures and presentations from experts and naturalists and get a deeper understanding of Antarctica’s history and landscape. Head to the deck and spot some of the region’s most magnificent seabirds, such as petrels and albatrosses. Keep a close eye on the waters as different species of whales make their way south to Antarctica.
Group Cruise: South Shetland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula
Take in stunning views as your ship sails between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Head out on Zodiac boat excursions and explore landing sites, channels and local bays with a team of knowledgeable and passionate experts.
