Discover the pleasures of Las Vegas at your own pace. Set off in the morning to catch spectacular views of the Red Rock Conservation Area and then drop by the Old West ranch that evokes the romance of pioneer days. If you wish to remain within the city limits, enjoy the animal shows at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Later, treat yourself to some retail therapy at the malls on Fremont Street, while culture buffs can check out the uniquely themed Neon Museum and Mob Museum.

After lunch, spend a leisurely afternoon surrounded by lush landscapes and seasonal blossoms at the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens or stroll past the indie galleries and atmospheric bars of the Arts District. Once the sun sets, it is time to hit the neon-lit Strip on the famed Las Vegas Boulevard, which is lined with iconic casino resorts and grand hotels like The Bellagio and The Venetian.

Unearth a wealth of wilderness at Zion National Park, which is also a paradise for hiking enthusiasts! Those who want to meander at leisure can try the Lower Emerald Pool Trail, which leads up to a lovely pool, hanging gardens and waterfalls. If you're up for a moderate route, hike the Watchman Trail that goes up the canyon and across the road, and ends at the viewpoints of the Temples and Towers. If you want a more challenging trail, try Angels Landing which includes steep cliffs, ridges and expansive views of the valley floor from the top.

You can also go on a five-mile scenic drive along the Kolob Canyons Road and look out upon massive sandstone cliffs that soar into a brilliant blue sky. Birdwatching is a must-do activity in the park as Zion is home to 291 species of birds such as the peregrine falcon, the California condor and the bald eagle.

Drive yourself from Zion National Park to the city of Page in your rental car. The duration of travel is about two and a half hours.

Nestled on the southern shores of Lake Powell, the northern Arizona town of Page is blessed with spectacular natural treasures. The second-largest man-made lake in the country, Lake Powell, allows for a whole range of adventure activities from wakeboarding and water-skiing to paddling and canoeing on its blue-green waters.

Located in the southeastern part of Utah, Moab is home to dramatic rock formations, sheer vertical cliffs, and deep canyons framed by majestic snow-capped mountains. Just outside the town, you come upon the surreal red rock landscape of Arches National Park. Such diverse terrain offers plenty of opportunities for hikes, four-wheel drives, and river trips.

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train from Moab to Glenwood Springs. You will need to make your own way from your hotel to the Rocky Mountaineer meeting point in downtown Moab. Location details will be provided once confirmed. You will be transferred from downtown Moab to the train station in a shared vehicle organised by Rocky Mountaineer.
