There are several interesting landmarks dotting the city, some of which date back to the German and British colonial eras. The National Museum and House of Culture, and the Village Museum, provide a glimpse into Tanzania’s fascinating past.
Savour the local cuisine at Kariakoo market or take a stroll along the scenic waterfront. Other famous landmarks such as the White Father's Mission House, the old State House, St. Joseph's Cathedral, and the Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting.

Nyerere National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania, and was carved out of the Selous Game Reserve. While on your scenic flight to Nyerere, enjoy a bird's-eye view of its terrain and wildlife, which includes elephants, wild dogs, and rare black rhinos.
The park's remote location, untouched beauty and exceptional game viewing opportunities make it one of Tanzania's top safari destinations. Enjoy a boat safari along the Rufiji River, go fly camping and on guided bush walks, and unwind after a memorable day with a relaxing sundowner.
Roho ya Selous: Morning and evening game drives, guided walks, boat safaris and fishing

Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best times for wildlife viewing here. You might also get to see the endangered African wild dogs, for which the region is well-known.
Unlike much of Tanzania’s savannah, Nyerere’s expansive landscape includes lakes, rivers, swamps, and swaying palms, all of which make for a lovely boat safari experience. Enjoy fishing and observe wallowing hippos in the waterways between the Manze and Nzerakera lakes.
You can also spot a variety of exotic birds, including Pel’s fishing owls and fish eagles. While here, enrich your safari experience with guided bush walks led by expert naturalists to learn about the park’s diverse flora and fauna.

This makes for a more enjoyable and exclusive safari experience, and you will see very few vehicles too.
Jabali Ridge: Morning, evening, and night game drives and guided walking safari
On game drives in Ruaha National Park, you can expect to spot wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, roan antelopes, bat-eared foxes, kudu, and many exotic birds. You can go on night drives as well to see the park’s elusive nocturnal inhabitants.
Relax after your morning safari with a leisurely bush breakfast under majestic baobab trees before continuing your exploration of the Tanzanian wilderness. Take guided bush walks with an experienced naturalist to learn more about the region’s plants and wildlife. Finally, round off your day with refreshing sundowners and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings.
