What does my vehicle come equipped with?
All Cruise America/Canada motorhomes come with the following facilities as standard:
• Power steering;
• ABS brakes;
• Automatic transmission;
• Cruise control;
• 2 wheel drive;
• Air-conditioning;
• Flushing toilet, shower & washbasin;
• Kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer and two or three ring hob;
• AM/FM radio and stereo;
• Generator (for all vehicle types in the USA, but only with the C30 vehicle in Canada).
You can also add Optional Extras to your booking to make your holiday that bit easier:
Unlimited Generator Usage
Useful if you intend to stay within National Parks during your trip (as many of these campgrounds do not provide hooks up to power your vehicle) or if you are unsure of how much you are likely to use the generator. Please note: generators are provided on all USA rental vehicles but only the C30 in Canada.
Unlimited Mileage Packages
These give you the freedom to travel as far as you like and are a good option if you are unsure of what distance you will cover or do not have a set route for your holiday. They are available for a set price which covers up to 21 days and for an additional nightly price for all subsequent days.
Early Bird Departures
This option means you will get transfers to/from the rental centre at the start and end of your rental period. You will also have your vehicle for longer as you can pick up from 9 am on the first day and drop off until 3 pm on the last day, giving you more time on the road. Sunday departures are also available with this option.
Personal Kits
These can be provided per person for your convenience to make your stay more comfortable and include a sleeping bag, pillow and pillowcase, sheet, bath towel, and laundry bag.
Vehicle Provisioning Kits
These can be booked per vehicle so you motorhome is equipped as if it were home. Packs include can and bottle opener, kitchen utensils, crockery, cookware and saucepans, cutlery, broom, and pocket flashlight.
How much does a motorhome rental cost?
Motorhome pricing is similar to that of European low-cost airlines—the earlier you book, the cheaper the price will be so book early to ensure you get the dates you want at the lowest price. However, even if you are booking very close to your departure date, our specialist travel advisors can suggest ways of keeping the price as low as possible by trying different departure dates, vehicle sizes, and pick up locations.
While many people plan a round trip in their motorhome, it is also possible to book a one way trip where you pick up your motorhome in one city and return it in another. A fee is applicable for one way trips (paid locally to the rental centre) and these vary depending on your route. Please note that one way rentals are not permitted between the USA and Canada.
The price of your motorhome will also depend on the number of days you want to have it for. Prices start from as little as 44 UK Pounds per day. Please note that the minimum rental period is seven days.
