Combine your Southeast Asia multi centre with city sightseeing, relaxing beaches and wildlife spotting on our Singapore and Borneo multi-centre holiday.
Singapore is renowned as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. The glimmering streets are always clean, the modern buildings dominate the skyline and the ultra slick Sentosa Island is full of exciting things to do. Here you’ll find the Universal Studios theme park, numerous golf courses and sandy beaches to keep you busy.
From Singapore, you’ll board a short flight to take you to the jungles and beaches of Borneo. We recommend staying at the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, which sits on a beautiful stretch of sand. The hotel boasts many luxury facilities, treating you to a restful holiday following a busy few days sightseeing in Singapore.
Borneo’s tropical rainforests are home to some of the most diverse fauna on earth, including the friendly faced and flame haired orangutans. Sadly, these fascinating creatures are endangered and only 15,000 are left in the wild. However, Borneo is one of the best places in the world to observe orangutans in their natural environment. We recommend adding our three day private tour of Sandakan on to your Borneo trip, so you have the chance to witness these great apes swinging through the trees. You can explore the Singapore multi-centre holidays that are offered with Hayes & Jarvis.

Trip Highlights
- Explore the ultra modern streets and skyline of Singapore
- Relax on the pristine sandy beaches of Borneo
- Observe orangutans in their natural habitat at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo
- Shop till you drop on Singapore’s Orchard Road and in the city’s unique districts
Start your Journey
Singapore
Start your adventure in the slick city of Singapore. Despite its small size, there’s certainly a lot to do in the city state.
For renowned brands and labels, hit the malls of Orchard Road. Or for more authentic souvenirs and gifts, head to the atmospheric districts of Little India and Chinatown. There you’ll also have a huge selection of delicious restaurants to dine in.
For a dose of quiet and relaxation in the centre of the city, head to the tranquil Singapore Botanic Gardens. You can admire the tropical foliage and the gleaming lakes, and can keep an eye out for the wandering monitor lizards that roam the gardens. While the lizards may be huge, they’re harmless to humans.
In the evening, head to the city’s famous Marina Bay Sands to watch an entrancing light and water show that depicts stories through colours, music and water.
Borneo Beach
From the city streets of Singapore, travel to the sandy shores of Borneo. You’ll stay at the five star Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, which is located on the gleaming white sands of the Pantai Dalit Beach.
Surrounded by 400 acres of lush greenery, feel at one with nature as you immerse yourself in this verdant environment. Should you wish to take a break from beach side snoozing, there are lots of onsite activities to get involved in. The grounds are full of local fauna and flora for you to observe, including iguanas, wild rabbits and fluffy bear cats.
Start the day right with sublime breakfast views of the scenic Mount Kinabalu and the surrounding tropical rain forest. And be sure to visit Sampan Bar to watch possibly one of the best sunsets you’ve ever seen.
Luxury Borneo Adventure
Home to some of the most varied wildlife on earth, it would be a shame to visit Borneo without embarking on a dedicated wildlife tour.
Our three day tour of Sandakan will first take you to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where you can watch the rangers feeding the gentle apes in the forest. Watching these remarkable creatures is a special experience and one that you’ll take home from your trip to cherish.
Later, you’ll visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and explore the Lower Kinabatang River Sanctuary.
Day two starts with an early morning river cruise and breakfast at the Abai Jungle Platform. Today you will have a chance to learn about the Tree Planting project and take a cruise along the Menanggul River.
Your final day includes a stop at Gomantong Cave and the Simud Hitam Cavern with lunch served at the English Tea House and Restaurant in Sandakan before an early evening flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
