Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands
Depart by road with your driver/guide to wind your way up to 5000 ft above sea level to the Cameron Highlands, en route you will stop at the beautiful Iskandar waterfalls, where you can have a quick dip to cool your feet before you embark on the second part of the journey. Here you will meet locals at their homes and may witness a blow pipe demonstration and then visit a bamboo basket weaving craft centre. While you wind your way up to the Cameron Highlands the multiple hairpins and hidden roads reveal wonderful scenery at almost every corner, and you will pass gurgling jungle streams. On arrival at Cameron Highlands you will check-in at your hotel. Visit the Big Red Strawberry Farm where strawberries and lettuces are hydroponically grown. You may walk around the fully sheltered farm and potted plants centre or relax at the cafe serving fresh strawberry snacks such as strawberry sundae, ice cream, muffins, tarts, tea and much more.
Rest of the evening is free to just relax and enjoy the cool fresh air.
Cameron Highlands
After breakfast at your hotel, your driver/guide will take you on a tour of Cameron Highlands covering the Rose Garden, tea plantation and vegetable farms.
Boh Tea Plantation is the largest tea plantation is Southeast Asia covering a total of 8,000 acres. You will take a private guided tour of the factory and see how the tea leaf is processed. You may also visit the tea shop nearby and sample the local tea and enjoy the beautiful views of the tea plantations.
Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur/Penang
Enjoy a relaxing leisurely breakfast before checking out. Descend the winding road onto your next destination Penang, along the way you will pass Simpang Pulai, continuing the journey up north to the state of Perak, the richest tin mining state in Malaysia. Cross the Penang bridge which measures 13.5 kilometre, before arriving into Penang island. Your driver/guide bids you farewell after dropping you off at the hotel in the late afternoon, or alternatively take a late evening flight from Penang airport for your onward journey.
