Once you arrive to Arenal, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in. At the agreed time, you will join an adventure to Isla Damas. Gently row along the soft currents under a verdant forest canopy, to explore the wonders of the unique Costa Rican mangrove ecosystem. Kayak through natural canals and keep your eyes wide open to spot a variety of bird species, reptiles, ant eaters and white faced monkeys. Your guide´s knowledge will instruct you through the biodiversity of this habitat, and his trained eye will seek out herons, kingfishers, ospreys and frigate birds. Navigate through the brackish waters and catch glimpses of Damas Island as you pass beneath natural tunnels created by tree growths. Lunch or dinner is provided depending on varying tides.

After breakfast, this morning you will explore the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most famous in Costa Rica due to its wide variety of flora and fauna. The park has 3 different trails that go from flat to very steep. On this tour a very knowledgeable nature guide will walk you through the Manuel Antonio National Park, explaining the mysteries of the rainforest. You will enjoy a leisure stop at the world wide famous Third Beach. Once there you can rest on the beach or play with the waves. Throughout the hike is common to see sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees.

In the afternoon, get your heart pumping and zoom through the rainforest as you zip line on 11 cables from platform to platform over the lush treetops below. Upon arrival at the canopy site, your experienced adventure guide will provide a safety briefing going through instructions and demonstrations. Next, you will be geared up with all the right safety equipment. Your nature guide will gladly point out and describe the wildlife found in this area made up of primary and secondary rainforest, as you walk from one platform to the other, over trails and suspension bridges. At the end of this tour, enjoy a delightful Costa Rican lunch.

Today, be ready for doses of adrenaline! Experience III class rapids on the cleanest river in Costa Rica, a combination of calm paddling and some white-water thrills. The 80-minute road trip to the rafting site offers picturesque views of African palm plantations, little towns, small rivers and a jungle. After safety instructions and time to practice you are ready to board the 6-passenger rafts. Each raft has a guide who will provide instructions during journey, and for additional safety, a kayaker will accompany you close by. During your 2 ½ hour trip you will also have opportunities to admire exuberant flora and abundant fauna around you, floating down and even hopping off your rafting to swim in calmer waters. Once back at base camp after a shorter 30-minute ride, you’ll be able to dry off, change into fresh clothes and enjoy a delicious meal.
