This morning, you’ll be picked up and driven to the airport in Mendoza. Catch a flight to the historic city of Salta, where you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. Spend the evening soaking up the Andean culture with music, dancing, and a traditional Andean meal.

Soak up the slower pace of life in Salta today. Visit San Miguel market and browse stalls of local food: fresh produce, meats and spices. Afterwards, experience more authentic cooking with a cooking class. Enjoy a light lunch of local specialties, like tamales and humitas. The rest of the day is for you to spend at leisure.
Salta - Humahuaca - Salta
Venture out of Salta to the Humahuaca Gorge, an arid valley that sits between the Andean plateau and the sub-Andean hills. You’ll get to witness the Cerro de Siete Colores ( Seven Colours Hill), visit the town of Tilcara with its Pucará (indigigenous fortress), and wander the handicraft market in the town of Humahuaca. After you’ve wandered the market, head back to Salta, stopping at the historic city of Jujuy en route.
