This full day private tour visits Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven and includes lunch at a local Chinese restaurant.
Start your tour with a visit to the famous Tiananmen Square where you will have time to explore the square’s iconic landmarks such as Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum.
Then it is on to the mysterious Forbidden City, once the inner sanctum of China’s emperors this fascinating structure is a maze of courtyards and ceremonial halls.
Your tour also includes entrance to the Summer Palace. Built in 1888 this beautiful palace was the summer retreat and imperial park for China’s emperors. Have a lakeside cruise on the Kunming Lake and enjoy the magical views of the hills, bridges and pagodas which grace the palace grounds.
End your day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420 AD specifically for the worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
