Day 1

Toronto

You will be driven from Toronto airport to your hotel in a private vehicle

Toronto, Canada's financial hub, is nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Ontario. The city serves as an excellent base to explore the Great Lakes region that includes the spectacular Niagara Falls. Apart from world-class dining and themed contemporary museums, Toronto also boasts a myriad of waterfront entertainment venues along its 28-mile coast!

Personalised Toronto City Tour

Canada's largest city, Toronto is a hub of culture, finance and history. Set out on an exciting tour around downtown Toronto and see the famous Eaton centre, a giant mall made up of galleries and greenery under an arched glass roof. Head to Chinatown to marvel at the bustling Asian open-air markets and the Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese restaurants that line its narrow walkways.

See the CN Tower, the iconic symbol of Canada which offers panoramic views of Toronto from its observation decks and has a 360-degree revolving restaurant at the top. You will also pass the Old and New City Halls, which are an important part of the city's heritage. Remember to stop for pictures along the way!

Enjoy breathtaking views and a delicious dinner at the top of the CN Tower! An architectural marvel, the CN Tower was opened in 1976 and is one of Toronto's main attractions. 360, The Restaurant is celebrated for its gourmet Canadian cuisine, fine dining experience and a 360-degree view of Toronto's skyline in all its glory.

Sip on a glass of award-winning Canadian wine as you sit back and enjoy a panoramic view of Toronto. A unique specialty of the restaurant is that it revolves once every 72 minutes, allowing you to see different perspectives of the city.

Tuck into a three-course dinner of inventive dishes made with market-to-table ingredients. After your meal, head to the Observation Levels from where you can get a bird's-eye view of the city at night through a glass floor.

Small Group Tour of Niagara Falls

Discover the many sights and sounds of Niagara Falls on this full day tour from Toronto. Start by visiting Skylon Tower with your guide. Take the glass elevator up to the observation area, which is set at a height of 158 metres. Revel in the bird’s-eye view of the Bridal Veil Falls, Horseshoe Falls, and the American Falls, the three falls that make up the Niagara Falls.

Next, head to Journey Behind the Falls to explore the cave-like tunnels located behind the Falls. Descend 38 metres and follow the tunnels to two observation decks from where you will be able to feel the falls as well as hear their thundering sound. Board the Niagara City Cruises ‘Voyage To The Falls Boat Tour’ and sail around the Niagara gorge.

Recyclable rain ponchos will be provided as you will get close enough to the Falls to feel the mist on your face. Back on land, visit sites such as the Dufferin Islands, the International Control Dam, and the Whirlpool Rapids on a drive through the city. Finally, you will have about an hour of free time to explore the city on your own before returning to your hotel.

Day 4

Ottawa

You will be transferred from your hotel to Toronto train station in a private vehicle. Board your train from Toronto to Ottawa. The duration of the trip is about 4.5 hours. You will be transferred from the Ottawa train station to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Explore Ottawa, Canada's charming capital that overlooks the Ottawa River on the Quebec-Ontario border. The city, with its classic and modern architecture, and festivals throughout the year, is steeped in culture and heritage. From the historic Rideau Canal and the Victorian gothic Parliament Hill complex to the waterfront urban parks and themed national museums, there's plenty for you to see here.

Best of Ottawa Guided Bicycle Tour

Explore Ottawa on this guided three-hour bike tour, covering a distance of about 22 kilometres. Accompanied by your knowledgeable guide, set out on a hybrid-comfort bike at a relaxed pace. From Sparks Street proceed along Sussex Drive to view Rideau Falls and Rideau Hall.

Admire the city’s natural beauty as you cycle along Rideau River pathway to enter two older localities - Old Ottawa South and Glebe. Continue along Rideau Canal pathway to Hog’s Back Falls, also known as the Prince of Wales Falls. Make a stop at the trendy Little Italy. Cycle along the Ottawa River pathway to see the balanced rock sculptures at Remic Rapids Park and the Canadian War Museum.

Take a detour for spectacular views of downtown Ottawa, stopping at the National Gallery of Canada and Byward Market, before riding to Parliament Hill where your tour ends.

Canadian Museum of History - The Grand Hall

Go back in time with this fascinating tour of the Grand Hall at the Canadian Museum of History. Gain insights into the culture and traditions of the First Peoples of Canada’s Pacific Coast as you explore the space.

Enjoy splendid views of the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill from the curved window wall. Get a close look at the exhibits, including replicas of typical ethnic houses, connected by a Pacific Coast shoreline and boardwalk. Check out the largest collection of totem poles in the world and see exquisite works of renowned artists.

Make your way past the house facades to two interesting exhibits - First Peoples of the Northwest Coast and From Time Immemorial - Tsimshian Prehistory. Afterwards, stop by the Canadian History Hall before you leave.

Day 6

Montreal

You will be driven from your hotel to Ottawa train station in a private vehicle. Board your train from Ottawa to Montreal. The duration of the trip is about 2.5 hours. Walk from Gare Centrale (Montreal Central Station) to your hotel.

Montréal is a picturesque metropolis on the St. Lawrence River in southeastern Canada. The island city brims with iconic architecture, dining and entertainment options, and a variety of jazz, comedy and art festivals.

Group Old Montreal Walking Tour – East and West

Explore Old Montreal on this guided walking tour. Stroll through charming cobblestone streets and winding alleys as you learn about the area's history, culture and heritage. Start at the impressive Notre Dame Basilica with its intricate carvings and stained-glass windows.

Navigate your way through the pedestrian-friendly Rue Le Royer, passing the Montreal Courthouse and Place Jacques-Carter to the iconic Saint Paul Street, with its trendy boutiques and galleries. Stop at City Hall and walk past Champ de Mars and Bonsecours Street chapel.

In the Old Port area, cross the boardwalk to Clock Tower Quay. Grab a bite at the 100-year-old silver domed Marché Bonsecours. Then, proceed to Place d’Armes, a square surrounded by 19th-century heritage buildings and monuments. Head to the architecturally rich McGill Street and Place d’Youville in west Montreal.

Next, stop at Place Royale, where the first colonial fort - Ville-Marie, was erected. Your tour ends at Pointe-a-Calliere, a museum of archaeology and history.

Day 8

Quebec City

You will be driven by a chauffeur from Montreal, QC to Quebec City in a private vehicle. It will take you about three hours to reach your destination.

Uncover the assorted charms of Québec City, a clifftop cosmopolitan destination overlooking the St. Lawrence River in eastern Canada. This 400-year year old city is known for its French heritage and is dotted with landmarks that showcase its military history, botanical parks and lively squares.

Group Grand Walking Tour of Quebec City

Discover the rich and colourful history of Quebec on this walking tour. With your knowledgeable guide, set off along the narrow streets of the UNESCO-listed Old Quebec neighbourhood. Follow the downhill route that takes you across the old Upper Town area.

Take in European-inspired architecture and pass by prominent landmarks such as Château Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace, the boardwalk along the Saint Lawrence River. Walk across the vibrant Latin Quarter and past the Old Seminary. See the ancient fortifications and the Citadelle, a star-shaped fort built in the 19th-century.

Enjoy stunning views of the water from the Old Port and check out the vintage collectibles in the storefronts in the Antique and Art District. Continue walking along the Place Royale, a picturesque cobblestone square flanked by cafes, shops, and a stone church, till you reach the funicular station. You can take the funicular back to Upper Town.

Day 10

Vancouver

You will be driven from your hotel to Quebec City airport in a private vehicle, Board your flight from Quebec City to Vancouver, BC. The duration of the flight is about 5.5 hours.

Guided Private Vancouver City Tour

Vancouver is a beautiful cosmopolitan city surrounded by stunning scenery and landscapes. Explore the city's many sights starting with the Totem Poles in Stanley Park and learn about the history of Canada's First Nations. Your next stop, the nearby Prospect Point, offers stunning views of Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore mountains.

At Canada Place, marvel at Vancouver's world-famous and Best-Destination-Experience-Award-winning cruise ship terminal. View the majestic Olympic Cauldron, which was built for the 2010 Winter Olympics at the nearby Jack Poole Plaza. Explore the glittering shopping paradise of Robson Street before heading for Vancouver's historic and charming Gastown.

Don't forget to explore the second largest Chinatown in North America while you're in the area. Another must-do is to take in the stunning views at English Bay in the West End of Vancouver, before you finish off at Granville Island. Here, you will find an eclectic array of shops and galleries, restaurants, and of course the famous Granville Island Public Market.

Day 12

Tofino

You will be driven from your hotel to Vancouver harbour in a private vehicle. Board your seaplane flight from Vancouver to Tofino. You should reach Tofino in 45 minutes. You will be driven from Tofino Harbour Seaplane Terminal to your hotel in a private vehicle.

The idyllic coastal town of Tofino is located within the traditional territory of the region's First Nations communities on the western shores of Vancouver Island.  It sits at the tip of a picturesque peninsula surrounded by the protected Clayoquot Sound region, which is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Enjoy biking or hiking on the fringes of the Pacific Rim National Park. You can also embark on scenic flights to marvel at Tofino's natural beauty from the air or go on speedboat tours to spot bears, birds and whales.

Day 15

Vancouver

You will be transferred from your hotel to Tofino Harbour Seaplane Terminal in a private vehicle. Board your seaplane flight from Tofino to Vancouver. The flight duration is about 45 minutes.

You will be transferred from Vancouver harbour to your hotel in a private vehicle. On the following day, you will be transferred from your hotel to the Rocky Mountaineer train station in Vancouver in a shared vehicle organised by Rocky Mountaineer.

Day 16

Kamloops

Board your Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Kamloops (Departure: 8 am | Arrival: 6 - 7.30 pm)

Kamloops is a lovely city that sits tucked away in the Thomson Valley at the meeting point of two rivers in south central British Columbia. From its origins as a fur hunting centre in the early 19th century to becoming a hub of the country’s logging industry, Kamloops is now a popular tourist destination. With its many natural attractions and rich cultural heritage, its is a great year-round choice for an enjoyable getaway.

First Passage to the West: Vancouver - Kamloops - Banff (Day 1)

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at Vancouver station for two days of all-daylight rail travel through Canada’s West and the Rocky Mountains. Journey from coastal Vancouver to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. Gaze at the changing scenery as you traverse the picturesque Fraser Valley, pass the Cascades Range and travel along the banks of the Thompson River.

Your first day ends at Kamloops, where you will be transferred by bus to your hotel. You will spend the night in a comfortable mid-range hotel. Gold Leaf class guests will sleep in a higher room category. Rocky Mountaineer will assign your hotel during the reservation process and we will inform you as soon as we receive this information.

On board attendants will serve you and attend to any requests you may have. Enjoy a premium dining experience, including hot meals, wine, and a variety of snacks and beverages.

Day 17

Banff

Board your Rocky Mountaineer train from Kamloops to Banff (Departure: 6.50 am | Arrival: 7 pm - 8.30 pm), You will be transferred from the Banff train station to your hotel in a private vehicle.

A resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and part of Canada's oldest national park, Banff is an outdoor enthusiast's haven. Take a gondola up Sulphur Mountain to enjoy stunning views of the region. Explore Banff National Park, with its craggy peaks, ice-blue lakes and coniferous forests. If you want to unwind, you can visit the famous Banff Hot Springs, which is open throughout the year.

First Passage to the West- Vancouver-Kamloops-Banff (Day 2)

Resume your journey after a refreshing night’s sleep in your hotel in Kamloops. You will be transferred to Kamloops railway station by bus. Continue your eastward journey into Alberta and the mighty Rocky Mountains.

The journey takes you along the lakeshores and over high mountain passes, giving you stunning views of snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Pass through Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon and the Spiral Tunnels, before reaching your destination. Travel in luxury, in custom-designed coaches that provide the maximum comfort and panoramic views.

Savour the region's cuisine, prepared using locally sourced fresh produce. Courteous and friendly onboard crew dedicate themselves to making this journey a memorable experience. Your journey ends upon arrival in Banff.

Private Fortress Backcountry Ridgeline Hike

Walk along high alpine ridgelines in the Canadian Rockies on this full-day adventure. You will be picked up from your hotel in Banff and taken to the Fortress Mountain resort staging area, where you will meet your guide. Get into to a Ranger ATV and head into the backcountry.

Start your two-hour hike at the top of Fortress Ridge. You will be greeted by panoramic views of towering cliffs, wildflower meadows, and shimmering mountain lakes. Keep an eye out for the area's wildlife such as beavers and moose. After your hike, your ATV shuttle will take you to a secluded alpine lake.

Spend the next hour or so exploring the surrounding larch forests in the shadow of rock walls. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the history and geology of the land. You will also hear stories about the many Hollywood films that have been shot here, such as Jumanji: The Next Level, Inception, and The Revenant.

Calgary

You will be transferred to the airport in a private vehicle to catch your flight back home.
