USA: Parks of Southern Utah and Las Vegas

Arrive at Las Vegas International Airport and transfer to your hotel in St. George. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

The city of Saint George is situated 90 minutes away from Las Vegas. It lies below the rim of the Great Basin and is surrounded by the Red Mountains. The downtown area is peppered with stately 19th-century buildings and the town offers panoramic views of the mesas, Mojave Desert and canyons.

Discover the stunning landscapes along Utah’s border with Arizona on this week-long adventure. On day two of the trip, meet your guide at your hotel and set out for Snow Canyon State Park in an SUV. Drive past towering burnt orange and red Navajo Sandstone. You can also take short walks past the cinder cone and lava fields.

After lunch, travel to the Kolob section in Zion National Park. Enjoy stunning views of the park and make several stops at scenic spots along the way. Then return to your hotel in St. George for the night. In the morning, depart for Bryce Canyon National Park. Drive north through the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness and Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Stop along the way at the overlooks to enjoy the views and take photographs. Have lunch in the city of Panguitch before reaching the park, where you will have the chance to go on a short walk along the rim to get a closer look at the landscape.

Next, make your way to Kanab, Utah, a high desert town surrounded by a red-rock landscape that contrasts sharply with the bright blue sky. The town is conveniently located in the centre of ten of America’s scenic wonders, making it an ideal base camp. Spend the night at Canyons Boutique Hotel.

On day four, your guide will escort you to Grand Canyon National Park North Rim. This part of the park is visited by few tourists and is greener and higher than the more-visited southern section. Stop at scenic overlooks before sitting down to lunch at the hotel located on the edge of the canyon. Return to Canyons Boutique Hotel for the night.

The next day depart for Antelope Canyon and Horse Bend across the border in Page/Lake Powell, Arizona. Drive along Highway 89 and go past the Vermilion Cliffs that are home to the endangered California Condor. Stop to walk across the only driving bridge in the Grand Canyon area and enjoy views of the Colorado River from a height of 700 feet. After lunch in Page, explore Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend before returning to Kanab.

Start your last day with a visit to Coral Pink Sand Dune State Park. Then head to Zion Canyon National Park to see the towering sandstone walls that rise over 200 feet. You can also take a short hike along the drive to the Western entrance of the park. Return to St. George and check-in at the Red Mountain Resort, where you will be treated to a farewell dinner.

Check-out the next morning and take the shared shuttle to the airport for your onward flight.

Las Vegas is a vibrant resort city in the Mojave Desert, surrounded by mountain ranges. It is an oasis of indulgence with its luxurious casino hotels, fine dining outlets and unrivalled entertainment venues. ‘Sin City’, ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’, and ‘The City of Second Chances’ are some of the monikers associated with Nevada’s largest city.

This famed street is where you will find the musical fountains at the Bellagio, as well as replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Luxor pyramid. Catch concerts by world famous artists, fabulous dance performances, magic shows and more while here.

You could also go on fun rides and thrilling roller coasters at some of the casino hotels. In the downtown area lies the pedestrian-only Fremont Street known for its light show, concerts, and street performers. The Neon Museum with its outdoor displays and the Mob Museum chronicling the history of organised crime in the country are also worth checking out.

If you have an appreciation for the arts, there is the Las Vegas Arts District with its galleries, antique shops, and mural-lined alleys. Known for its diverse culinary scene, Las Vegas is filled with eateries ranging from celebrity-chef restaurants to burger and taco bistros, many of them open around the clock.

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and enjoy dining on the canyon floor. You will be picked up from your hotel in the evening and driven in a limousine to the VIP helicopter lounge at Mc-Carran Atlantic terminal. Hop into a helicopter and take to the skies. Enjoy bird’s eye views of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, and the Grapevine Mesa as you soar high above.

You will also see the Grand Wash Cliffs and the Black Mountains in the distance. Your pilot will manoeuvre the helicopter to glide through the majestic Grand Canyon, before descending to 4,000 feet to reach the floor of the canyon. You could then enjoy a glass of champagne and light snacks before exploring your surroundings a bit. Board the helicopter and fly over the downtown area and the iconic Strip before your pilot brings you back.
