Get transferred from your hotel to the Delhi train station in a private vehicle. Board your train from Delhi to Gwalior. The travel duration is three hours. Explore Gwalior’s sprawling forts and temples on your own and get a peek into the region’s royal past.

Go on a tour of the Khajuraho group of temples, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Khajuraho's eastern and southern temples, dedicated to the Hindu Gods Vishnu and Shiva and Jain gurus. Leave for Jhansi in a private vehicle. The travel duration is 30 mins. Board the train from Jhansi to Bhopal, a travel duration of three and a half hours. You will be picked up at Bhopal station and dropped off at your hotel.

Visit the Jama Masjid, known for its classic Islamic architecture and considered the largest mosque in the country, along with the Moti Masjid, an impressive structure constructed out of marble. Explore the Birla Mandir, which sits on the city's highest point and is dedicated to the goddess of wealth, Goddess Lakshmi. Stroll the beautiful gardens and marvel at the architecture of Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil, monuments that fuse Indo-Islamic and European styles. End the day with a trip to the Tribal Habitat Museum, an open-air museum that showcases the lifestyles and culture of various indigenous communities of India.

If you are staying at Ahilya Fort, spend some time exploring Maheswar’s legacy of textile weaving on a guided tour. Visit the Rehwas Society handloom centre to witness how the famous Maheshwari sarees are created. Spend time at Ahilya School, which provides education to the children of weavers, among others. Get a taste of local life at the markets and pedal your way through the countryside. Prepare yourself for a spiritual awakening during a visit to Omkareshwar, a popular pilgrimage site located at the confluence of the Narmada and Kaveri rivers. As you journey further, enjoy the landscapes that open up before you. Head to the beautiful Mandhata Island by crossing one of the two bridges or by boat.

Leave for Indore in your private, chauffeur-driven vehicle. The travel time is around three hours. Head to the Indore airport and board your flight to Mumbai. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Go on a half-day tour of Mumbai, and explore its most famous landmarks. Pose in front of the Gateway of India, built during British rule and drive along the Marine Drive, also known as the Queen’s Necklace. Stop by Mumbai’s prominent buildings, such as the High Court, Mumbai University, Flora Fountain, and the grand Victoria Terminus Railway Station. You can also visit the Parsi Tower of Silence and observe it from the outside. Take a break at the beautiful Hanging Gardens or Kamala Nehru Park and spend some quiet time learning about Mahatma Gandhi at the Mani Bhavan.

The next day, take a ferry from the Gateway of India to explore Elephanta Caves, a complex of cave temples dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva believed to have been built in the seventh century.
