Start your Journey
Nairobi
Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for your overnight stay, and the rest of the day is at leisure. Optional excursions to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or the Karen Blixen Museum are available to arrange in the city.
Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli
After an early breakfast we transfer approximately hrs to Amboseli to arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is known for its spectacular landscapes, which combine vast grassy plains, swampy marshes, acacia woodlands, and the dominant presence of Mount Kilimanjaro as a breathtaking backdrop. The park is particularly famous for its large herds of elephants roaming freely across the open plains, creating a captivating sight. In addition to elephants, Amboseli is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, and various bird species. The contrasting beauty of wildlife against the scenic landscape makes Amboseli a favorite destination for nature enthusiasts and photographers. We enjoy a programme of morning and afternoon game drives during our stay here.
Amboseli to Nakuru
From Amboseli, we travel 7 to 8 hrs towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the rift escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, you'll have the opportunity to explore the stunning national park. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its picturesque lake, surrounded by lush vegetation and diverse wildlife. Following lunch and a siesta, you will embark on an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Njoro town, where you will begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then travel towards Narok, the gateway to the Masai Mara. The travel time is approximately 7 hours. You'll travel across the 'breadbasket' of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset.
Masai Mara to Nairobi
Following an early breakfast, catch your last views of the majestic Masai Mara plains as you depart to fly back to Nairobi. You arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city of Nairobi by the early evening. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at the airport for your ongoing travel arrangements.
