Experience two very different but complementary sides of stunning southern Africa with our multi-centre holiday.
From wine tasting in the vibrant city of Cape Town to lion spotting in the wilds of Kruger National Park, there’s culture and the great outdoors in abundance.
Beginning in Johannesburg, your multi-centre holiday starts with a safari tour of Kruger National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to see The Big Five, while staying in a luxurious lodge. From here, we recommend following the Garden Route from Port Elizabeth on the Eastern Cape to Cape Town on the Western Cape, with some great stops along the way. These include Tsistsikamma Forest, Plettenberg Bay and Swellendam.
In bustling Cape Town, you’ll have the opportunity to climb Table Mountain in a cable car and take in the breath taking views from the summit, extending beyond the city itself and Table Bay. While you’re here, a visit to the Kirtenbosch Botanical Gardens is well worth an outing, as is Boulders Beach, which is home to penguins.
When the Namibia part of your holiday begins, begin with a night in the capital Windhoek. It’s home to fantastic architecture and European influences. Journey on to the Namib desert where you’ll encounter the rare and delightful sight of the undulating Sossusvlei sand dunes, instantly recongnisable for their redish hue. You’ll also have the chance to do some more wildlife spotting in Etosha National Park, where elephants, leopards and rhinos roam freely.
This is an ideal Africa multi-centre for couples wanting to explore nature with rare close ups of the local wildlife. It’s also perfect for those seeking culture, with fine dining and award-winning wineries.
