Destination 2 : Cambodia
Jump in a tuk-tuk and explore some of the many temples of the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap, recommended are Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Angkor Thom Temple. Angkor Wat was built in the 12th Century taking around 30 years to build and is most impressive in the early morning, as the sky changes from pinks and oranges to gorgeous blues as the sun rises behind. Bayon Temple stands at the centre of Angkor Thom and its distinct feature is the many stone faces on the towers. Angkor Thom is thought to be the last capital of the Khmer Empire and was used in a scene of the film ‘Tomb Raider’.
