Combine two of Africa's most desirable destinations; South Africa and Zimbabwe, as you travel by luxurious rail between the two.
Start your journey in Pretoria, the Administrative capital of South Africa, which lies just a short distance from the city of Johannesberg, renowned for the inauguration of the former President Nelson Mandela. Allow yourself time to explore Freedom Park, Voortrekker Monument, Church Square and the Union Building's, so we'd recommend spending your first night in Pretoria.
Embark the Rovos Rail in the morning from Rovos Rail Station as you begin your three night journey to Zimbabwe in ultimate luxury. Admire the spectacular views of the passing landscapes as you emmerse yourself in fine dining, and exquisite service.
Arrive in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where we would recommed a further three nights stay to explore one of the worlds natural wonders and it's beautiful surroundings, known as the "Smoke that Thunders". Enjoy time at leisure walking through Victoria Falls town, take a private guided walk to the Victoria Falls, or for those who are seeking an adrenaline rush consider the iconic bungee jump or white water rafting. For some inspiration, we'd recommend either our Iconic Victoria Falls, or Victoria Falls & Hwange tour.

Start your Journey
Pretoria
South Africa’s administrative centre is a delightful city with significant historical sites, prosperous leafy suburbs, gracious architecture, and wide streets lined with jacarandas. To see these in full bloom, where you will experience a beautiful purple haze, we'd suggest travelling in October and November.
Allow yourself a night here in Pretoria to explore the city and to ensure the following morning is a relaxed one, with a short journey to Rovos Rail Station, where you will embark on the train.
Rovos Rail
Begin your three night adventure from Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria, where the train heads north through Warmbaths and Nylstroom.
Passing by the edge of the escarpment, the train then crosses the Tropic of Capricorn en route to the border with Zimbabwe. The following days include Bulawayo, the second city of Zimbabwe, plus, travelling along one of the world’s longest stretches of straight railway line (114 kilometres), before traversing Hwange National Park. Wildlife can be spotted from the train and a game drive excursion is included for all train guests.
The journey ends in Victoria Falls, on the mighty Zambezi River. From here, we'd recommend a further three nights stay in Victoria Falls to see all that is has to offer.
Victoria Falls
Discover for yourself why Victoria Falls is one of the most exciting travel destinations in Southern Africa; offering stunning scenery, incredible wildlife sightings and unforgettable adventures. Our recommendation to end this once in a lifetime journey would be to add on either our Iconic Victorial Falls or Victoria Falls & Hwange tour.
