The United State’s northernment state, Alaska is a haven of wilderness. By day, explore its awe-inspiring mountains, countless glaciers and impressive icebergs, stopping to watch whales breaching and moose, caribou, bison and bears prowling in their natural habitat. At night, you’ll get the chance to experience authentic Alaskan hospitality, staying in cosy lodges and comfortable hotels and watch as the night skies come to life with the mesmerising Northern Lights.
Starting your journey in Alaska’s largest city of Anchorage, you’ll visit the port town of Seward, before heading into Kenai Fjords National Park, where you’ll get to hear the crackle of ice from the impressive Exit Glacier after hiking the Harding Icefield. Climb aboard a ferry that will take you on an incredible journey through the teal coloured water of Prince William Sound, passing majestic mountains and glaciers as you go. Spend a couple of days enjoying stunning Valdez and take to the pristine waters on a sea kayaking trip, then head to Wrangell-St Elias National Park, home to nine of North America’s sixteen highest peaks. You’ll get to experience more breathtaking views on the incredible drive through the Alaskan Mountain Range, ending up in Denali National Park, with beautiful tundra, glaciers and impressive Denali, North America’s highest mountain peak.

Start your Journey
Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, and spend the day exploring and speaking to the locals. In the evening, enjoy getting to know your fellow travellers at a welcome meeting.
Kenai Peninsula - Seward
This morning, you’ll leave Anchorage and head to Portage Glacier before continuing on to Kenai Peninsula. Here, you’ll get to take to the Byron Glacier Trail by foot, before heading to Seward, a colourful fishing village that acts as the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Either take some time to explore the village or hop aboard an optional five hour wildlife cruise.
Kenai Fjords National Park - Seward
Today, you’re free to spend the day hiking the Harding Icefield, one of Alaska’s most beautiful trails. Spot wildlife along the way, and take in the exceptional views of Exit Glacier.
Valdez
Board a ferry and let it take you on the scenic journey through Prince William Sound to Valdez, passing by islands and striking icebergs. When you reach Valdez, you’ll have the option of experiencing this beautiful and pristine environment on a sea kayaking trip to the mouth of the glacier.
Wrangell-St Elias National Park
Explore the United States’ largest National Park, with nine of North America’s sixteen highest peaks and gigantic glaciers. Stay the night at the homely and welcoming McCarthy Lodge.
Alaska Range
Today, you’ll take one of the most beautiful drives the state has to offer, into the heart of the Alaska Mountain Range. After taking in some of the incredible views, you’ll arrive at Maclaren River Lodge, the perfect setting for an authentic Alaskan experience.
Denali National Park
Enjoy the unspoilt Alaskan wilderness as you travel along the old Denali highway to Denali National Park. Your campground setting borders the park, with a variety of impressive wildlife, fun filled activities and quiet nature trails all nearby. You’ll have the option to take a scenic flight over the park and even the chance of landing on an ice sheet as Mount Denali towers above you. If you’d rather keep your feet on the ground, hike through wilderness and take the Denali shuttle bus, taking in the views of the taiga, sub-arctic tundra and Alaskan wildlife.
Talkeetna to Anchorage
On your way back to Anchorage, make one last stop in Talkeetna, try reindeer sausage and, depending on availability, visit the Talkeetna Ranger Station. You’ll arrive back in Anchorage in the late afternoon.
