Spend a couple of days immersing yourself in the Borneo rainforest with canopy walks, nature trails and the chance to spot its famous orangutan residents.
The Borneo Eden has over 200 species of trees per hectare, some of which are the oldest and tallest (and most diverse) in the world. A myriad of animal life such as the Orang Utan, silver & red leaf monkey, Asian elephants, tarsiers, slow loris are found in this pristine jungle.

Start your Journey
Kota Kinabalu to Danum Valley
After your short flight to Lahad Datu airport, you will be met by a local guide and depart for your transfer by road to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon nature trail and high level canopy walk through the treetops which is 300m in length and 26m at the highest point. Following dinner, you'll learn more about the local flora and fauna and embark on a unique open-air jeep safari in search of nocturnal animals (weather permitting).
Coffin Cliff and Danum River
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and start your day with an early morning canopy walk to work up an appetite for breakfast. Then enjoy some guided jungle activities including a trek to the ancient Kadazandusun burial site know as 'Coffin Cliff', and getting a bird's eye view of the jungle before descending to a natural Jacuzzi® pool for refreshing dip (remember your swimming gear). After lunch at the lodge, you can take an optional water tubing adventure on the Danum River. After dinner, proceed with night walk in search of nocturnal animals (if weather permits).
Danum Valley to Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast opt for time at leisure or take one last guided walk along the Segama Trail to look for large birds such as the Rhinoceros Hornbill, and you might even be lucky enough to spot an Orangutan searching for food among the fig trees. Following a last lunch at the lodge, check out and depart on your road transfer back to Lahad Datu airport for your flight back to Kota Kinabalu. From here continue your onward journey, or alternatively extend your stay in Kota Kinabalu.
