Arriving at Cusco Airport, you’ll be greeted and accompanied to the refined 5 star Hotel Belmond Monasterio for your two night stay. Settle in and put your feet up until your afternoon city tour of Cusco.
Discover the Koricancha - the ancient sun temple - and a stunning and sacred cathedral in the beating heart of the city. We’ll also explore fascinating archaeological remains from the Inca period and piece together the stories of the ancient world.
Cuzco
Enjoy today at your own leisure, at your own pace. There’s much to explore in the historic city of Cusco. Get lost in the maze of narrow streets and cobblestones and stumble upon local markets where you can haggle for handcrafted jewellery from makeshift stalls.
Discover the old town and find renovated colonial buildings or admire its art and history in the Museum of Archaeology. Hang out like a local in the bustling square of Plaza de Armas and people watch by the pretty fountain.
Cusco - Machu Picchu
After an early breakfast, we’ll make our way towards the train station in Poroy, where we’ll embark the Belmond Hiram Bingham Train. Get lost in the old world charm and service, met with pops of vibrant colour and Peruvian character. For three to four hours, you can relax on the elegantly designed Pullman train, complete with gleaming interiors and brass finishes, true to the 1920s glamour and class.
Soak in the views of the Andes and taste local flavours and cuisine along the way with a long brunch or an opulent dinner. Enjoy a lively dance show in true South American spirit in the Bar Car while sipping on a Peruvian cocktail.
Arrive in Machu Picchu and check in to the Belmond Sanctuary, a charming lodge adorned in pure luxury and style. In the only hotel on the entrance to Machu Picchu, take in the magical moonlit night and perhaps a nightcap.
Machu Picchu - Cusco
Start your morning early and enjoy the stillness in the immaculate lodge gardens. See beautiful views across Machu Picchu from here, among pink and purple orchids and colourful birds. Set off for an optional closer look at Machu Picchu before boarding the Hiram Bingham Train for your return journey.
