Start your Journey
Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival into Kuala Lumpur, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
This evening you will be collected at 18:30 for your Kuala Lumpur after Dusk tour. After sunset the city lights up with soaring skyscrapers enhancing the night skyline. Visit the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and Chinatown for some street shopping, before enjoying a sumptuous Malaysian dinner and cultural performance at a local restaurant.
Kuala Lumpur to Malacca
Today you will leave Kuala Lumpur around 09:30 for the historical city of Malacca. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and have some free time for lunch. At 14:00 you will embark on a tour of the city. Visit St. John's Port for a panoramic view of Malacca. See Bandar Hilir, the oldest area of the city, climb St. Paul's Hill where St. Francis Xavier was interned and then see the well-known Fort De Santiago. Later, visit "Antique Row", locally called Jonker Street, before stopping at Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Tranquerah Mosque, St. Peter's Church and Bukit Cina, an ancient Chinese burial site. The evening is at your leisure. Don't forget to ask your driver/guide's advice on where to eat (suggested places to dine are the Portuguese Square).
Malacca to Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, you will enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Malacca River, followed by a trishaw ride to Villa Sentosa, an ancient house which has been converted into a private museum housing traditional Malay costumes, embroidery, furnishing and other interesting relics. The owner of Villa Sentosa will be happy to answer and questions you may have. After lunch return to Kuala Lumpur for your overnight stay.
Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands
A 9am pick up will see you on the road for your drive to Cameron Highlands. En-route visit ‘Gua Tempurung’, a spectacular cave and former hideout of the communist guerillas. This impressive cave is teeming with beautiful speleothems like stalagmites, stalactites, rim stone pools. The cave holds mystery that will leave you curious about its deep, dark secrets dating back 400 million years ago. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Tapah, before continuing your journey to Cameron Highlands, which is 1,542 meters above sea level, throughout the drive you will see spectacular views while climbing the mountain roads. You will stop at the Iskandar Waterfalls for a photo stop before continuing the journey to the Cameron Highlands and your hotel, where you will stay for two nights. The evening will be at leisure, why not ask the drivers' advice on a restaurant for dinner.
Cameron Highlands
After breakfast embark on a tour of the Cameron Highlands including the Rose Garden, tea plantations and vegetable farms. This area is the leading producer of flowers and tea in Malaysia and enjoys a cool climate due to its location about 1,500 metres above sea level. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Cameron Highlands is the smallest district in the state of Pahang which is located in the north-western corner of the state. One of the wonders of Malaysia, it is the largest and most famous hill resort in the country. This highland paradise still retains much of the charm of an English village.
Cameron Highlands to Penang
Today you will leave the Cameron Highlands and descend to Kuala Kangsar, the royal town of Perak. Visit the Sultan Azlan Shah Gallery, built and conserved from the ancient castle Istana Ulu and first occupied by Sultan Idris I in 1903. This former palace was restored in 2003 and named after the present sultan whose personal belongings, photographs, trophies and state regalia are now on display. It is an experience not to be missed, as you are sure to be amazed by the unique and beautiful items on display. Afterwards stop at the Ubudiah Mosque, which is considered to be one of the finest Mosque's in Malaysia before lunch in a local restaurant and take the journey over Penang bridge which spans 13.5km before arriving on Penang Island where you will transfer to your hotel in the heart of colonial Georgetown.
