Start your Journey
Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
Get an early morning start. You will be picked up from your Bangkok hotel between 06:00 and 06:30 to begin your adventure to Kanchanaburi.
As you journey to River Kwai Float House, you’ll stop off at the world-famous Death Railway. The track gained its name because the construction of the railway resulted in the loss of life for many Allied Prisoners of War soldiers during the Second World War.
Enjoy a train ride along the scenic and historic railway. The bridge on the River Kwai is steeped in a tragic history, one that you will delve into after lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, pay a visit to the Hellfire Pass Memorial. This haunting cemetery is where 6,000 Allied Prisoners of War were laid to rest after they perished during the construction of the Burma railway.
You will then hop onto a long-tail boat and travel to your luxury accommodation at the River Kwai Float House, where you’ll be staying for the next two nights.
Kanchanaburi
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before embarking on your next adventure in Kanchanaburi. Travelling on a long-tailed boat, head towards the Mon Tribal Village. The Mon originated from Mongolia and are an ethnic group who were the earliest people to reside in Southeast Asia. Find out more about the villagers’ culture and discover a village that has been untouched and uninfluenced by the western world. You can also trek through the tranquil jungle in Kanchanaburi before digging into some lunch.
Explore an organic herb garden, learn more about how the produce is grown and get top tips for growing herbs from local experts. The rest of your afternoon is free to enjoy however you wish. Most of our guests spend time at the resort and relax in the luscious tropical settings. Make sure you see the tropical fruits, which are all grown onsite at the resort, including mango, jackfruit, dragon fruit and sweet banana.
Kanchanaburi to Bangkok
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast before spending the morning at your leisure. Those looking to relax can soak up the sun in the resort and enjoy a good book. The more adventurous can take to the nearby waterways and spend time canoeing and taking in the natural beauty of the area.
Take in the scenic, peaceful jungle views one last time over lunch before you journey to the fascinating Thailand–Burma Railway Centre Museum in Kanchanaburi.
