That’s why we’ve designed this 12 day Scenic South America tour, which hits the most incredible and beautiful spots.
Begin your epic South America adventure in Chile. We’ll discover the intriguing districts and observe the colonial buildings that are scattered between modern high rise buildings. Then it’s time to explore Argentina, starting in Mendoza, the country’s premier wine growing area. Sample smooth and velvety fine wines on a tour, discovering the unique winemaking processes used to produce these world class wines. We’ll also visit the cosmopolitan capital of Buenos Aires, which is home to the tango, where you’ll watch the professionals take to the stage in wonder.
One of the highlights of our tour is a visit to the looming and frothing Iguassu Falls. The falls is so large that it straddles three countries – Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Observe Iguassu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides to witness this natural wonder from different perspectives.
We’ll complete our trip in the adored city of Rio De Janeiro. Spend a whole day navigating spectacular Rio via different modes of transport: from cable cars to trains. Glimpse the city from great heights from Corcovado Mountain, where the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue stands with open arms out to the sprawling city of Rio that lies beneath.

Start your Journey
SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Begin your epic South American adventure in Chile’s capital, Santiago de Chile. Today you’ll take a tour of the city, discovering its colonial past while marvelling at the high rise and modern buildings of the financial hub.
Navigate through the downtown area, reaching the heart of this diverse and exciting city. From there we’ll reach the buzzy Alameda, which is the city’s vibrant main avenue. Here we’ll visit some significant buildings and architecture, including the Chilean University, San Francisco Church and the Santa Lucia Hill site.
The rest of our tour includes visits to the buzzy Central Market, which sells fresh fish and seafood, the artsy Bellavista district and the San Cristolbel Hill. The latter offers sweeping views of Santiago city and the Andes Mountains, so don’t forget to bring your camera.
SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Today we’ll head to Casablanca Valley on a winery tour. The region is one of Chile’s renowned wine growing spots for producing delicious Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Primus wines. Not only can you sample fine wines, you’ll also learn all about the production process too.
From Casablanca Valley, travel to the popular seaside city of Viña del Mar. Soak in the coastal views, the flower clock, the casino and the main square before continuing to Valparaíso. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city boasts dreamy ocean views, vibrant neighbourhoods and quirky cable cars.
SANTIAGO DE CHILE - MENDOZA
Today you’ll travel to Argentina’s Mendoza city by bus or by flight, depending on your preferences.
If you opt to fly, following breakfast, you’ll be taken to the airport to board. If you choose to reach Mendoza by bus, you’ll embark on a full day bus journey travelling through the iconic Andes Mountains, crossing the border to Argentina.
You’ll be picked up by the hotel and taken to the bus terminal in Santiago where you’ll hop on a comfortable public bus. Make the most of travelling by road and enjoy the impressive mountain views as you pass the city of Los Andes continuing upwards onto ‘Ruta 60’ which follows the scenic hills of the mountains.
MENDOZA
Day four is spent in Argentina’s Mendoza, which is famous for its wine production and is home to 70% of the country’s vineyards.
You’ll have the chance to visit two distinct vineyards, where you can enjoy superb Argentinian wines and learn about the winemaking process. If you’d like, mix visits to one craft winery and one handmade winery to understand the differences in how each winery operates.
MENDOZA
Today is spent at your leisure, and we offer four different tours for those who want to explore.
The first is the Mendoza city tour, which includes visits to the oldest parts of the city, including the Pedro del Castillo Square, the Alameda of General San Martin and the crumbling ruins of the San Francisco Church.
You can also embark on another wine tour, heading to the Uco Valley. This is one of the most renowned wine regions in Argentina, drawing in wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts from all around the world. You’ll sip outstanding wines from three different wineries while also learning about the region and how the wines are produced.
There’s also the option to visit the local altos limpios and huarpes native communities or to adventure to the Quebrada del Durazno mountains on a trekking tour.
MENDOZA TO BUENOS AIRES
It’s time to travel from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital. Once you arrive, you’ll have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure.
An optional extra is the Argentina culinary experience tour, which offers an introduction to Argentine cuisine and culture. While this isn’t a cooking class, you’ll be introduced to various renowned Argentine dishes and wines, with the chance to create an empanada and learn how to cook Argentina style steaks, which are known globally for their quality.

BUENOS AIRES
Today you’ll discover the birth city of the tango on a tour of Buenos Aires. Visit iconic buildings and landmarks, including the Colon Theatre opera house and the striking Metropolitan Cathedral. Navigate fascinating districts, including the bright and colourful La Boca which is home to the famous street Caminito, known as a street museum.
In the evening, visit the world renowned tango house Viejo Almacén where you can witness the professionals in a dance show. Enjoy a three course feast with an entertaining spectacle including music, singing and dancing.
BUENOS AIRES
Day eight is spent at your leisure and you can either relax, explore more of Buenos Aires or book one of our three optional tours.
Consider a visit to the Tigre Delta, an area of sublime natural beauty featuring gushing rivers, streams and dazzling green islands. You’ll embark on a one hour boat trip, sailing the channels of Tigre Delta to observe the hundreds of green islands.
Or, head to the charming Argentinian countryside to visit the Estancia Santa Susana. You’ll enjoy a hearty barbeque before taking part in authentic Estancia games.
Alternatively, head out on a San Telmo antique fair tour. The event hosts over 270 stands selling everything from vintage trinkets to ageing postcards and calendars.
BUENOS AIRES – IGUASSU
Today you’ll fly from Buenos Aires’ domestic airport to Iguassu, where one of the most impressive wonders of nature in South America is located. Surrounded by sub-tropical jungle in an area covering Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, the enormous, frothing Iguassu Falls can be found.
You’ll travel to the Argentinean National Park to visit this jaw dropping spectacle. Hop on the ecological jungle train, which will transport you to the most remarkable viewing spot of the falls, The Devil’s Throat.
IGUASSU
It’s time to observe the Iguassu Falls from a different angle, and this morning you’ll witness the mighty water from the Brazilian side of the falls.
Amble along the paths leading to the falls and stroll along the catwalk that reaches close to the bottom of The Devil’s Throat viewpoint to soak in the incredible views up close. Don’t worry, you won’t have to climb back up. Leap into the elevator that takes you back up to board your coach to the hotel.
IGUASSU TO RIO DE JANEIRO
On day 11 you’ll say goodbye to the splendour of the Iguassu Falls flying to Brazil’s most iconic city, the sparkling Rio De Janeiro.
A city of glimmering beaches, iconic monuments, and sublime natural beauty, no visit to South America is complete without time spent in the much loved city of Rio De Janeiro.
RIO DE JANEIRO
Spend the day exploring all that the vibrant city of Rio De Janeiro has to offer. First, embark on a cog-train for a picturesque journey through the lush Tijuca Forest up to the 2,454 ft high Corcovado Mountain. From Corcovado Mountain, marvel at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue that stands looming against the scenic backdrop of Rio De Janeiro.
Then, it’s time to hop on a train, passing dreamy Brazilian beaches. Board the city’s famous cable car to reach Sugar Load Mountain, reaching 1,280 ft.
Once you descend, navigate the city, exploring distinct districts and suburbs including the buzzy downtown area and the financial heart of the city.
Complete your day in Rio de Janeiro with an after dark folklore and carnival show, featuring dazzling dancers, thrilling entertainers and vibrant samba bands. The bright and colourful costumes are sure to dazzle.
