Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel for three nights.
Beijing
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including a walk through Tiananmen Square, one of the largest squares in the world, where you can see the Great Hall of the people and other historical monuments. You will also visit The Forbidden City, located directly behind the Tiananmen tower gate, where the Ming and Qing Dynasty Emperors and Empresses lived and ruled from 1420 to 1924. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Summer Palace with an optional boat ride via famous Empress Cixi Water Way to appreciate the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river.
Beijing
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing including the Great Wall at Mutianyu. You will be able to walk, climb or travel by cable car (price not included). Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the Great Wall before returning to your hotel.
Beijing to Xi'an
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven where the Emperors worshipped and prayed during the Ming and Qing Dynasties for a good harvest. After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to the train station for the high-speed train to Xi'an (approximately 5.5 hours). Upon arrival in Xi'an, transfer to your hotel for two nights.
Xi'an
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and their chariots and the Emporer Qinshihuang Mausoleum. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Banpo Neolithic Village, in Xian. On the way back to your hotel, stop off at the Terra-Cotta Replication factory.
Xi'an to Guilin
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin.
On arrival in Guilin, meet your local guide at the airport for a local orientation tour before heading to your hotel.
Guilin to Yangshuo to Guilin
Today you will enjoy a leisurely cruise to Yangshuo on the Li River. The afternoon is free at leisure at West Street, which is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of over 1,400 years. This pedestrianised area is home to hundreds of shops with a variety of local crafts, antiques, souvenirs along with restaurants and bars. Later, return to your hotel in Guilin.
Guilin to Shanghai
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for two nights.
Shanghai
After breakfast visit Mandarin Yu Garden, an extensive Chinese garden and the bazaar. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit The Shanghai Museum and take a stroll through the old French Concession. Tianzifang is a trendy new destination where the traditional architectural style Lilong meets modern art galleries and small design shops.
Shanghai
After breakfast, transfer to Shanghai for your onward flight.
