Frequently Asked Questions

When can I see the Midnight Sun?

Iceland experiences its warmest weather between June to September when visitors can witness the midnight sun. During these months, the cities see days with 20 + hours of sunlight and temperatures in the mid-50s (°F). If you want to view the Northern Lights, plan your luxury Iceland holidays between October and March.

Where can I best see the Northern Lights?

The best place for Northern Lights is in the countryside, where you just need to step out of your hotel to be in the darkness. Most of the larger accommodations in the countryside offer a wake-up call if Northern Lights appear during the night.

What is Iceland's Golden Circle?

The Golden Circle is the most popular sightseeing route in Southern Iceland, covering about 300 kilometres looping from Reykjavík. It contains a number of Iceland’s main attractions and natural wonders, including Thingvellir National Park, Strokkur Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfall and Kerið Crater.

What happens if I get sick in Iceland?

Health risks are minimal in Iceland and medical facilities everywhere are generally very good. If you fall sick in Iceland we will take you to a high-quality medical facility, of which there are ample, especially in the more popular destinations and larger cities. We have excellent ground support which will enable us to help you in your time of need. We advise that you discuss any health concerns and level of fitness required for any particular activity (i.e. trekking) with your Travel Consultant prior to your travels.
