The location of this divine resort is both spectacular and dramatic. Located near the famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple, the regal resort teeters on cliffs that offer unrivalled views of the sea.

Cascading down a lush hillside towards the Indian Ocean on Bali's southern coast in Uluwatu - designed by Italian architects, using local materials such as exotic woods and hand-cut volcanic stone, the resort exudes a Milan meets Balinese charm vibe. Pathways are draped with fragrant frangipani, taking you past exclusive thatched-roof villas, each one hiding behind fortress-like walls.

Buggies are used to ferry guests everywhere due to undulating terrain but this is because the hotel’s designers wanted to follow the ground’s natural inclination.

The Cliffside location offers phenomenal ocean views – but when you want to feel the sand between your toes, access the beach by the resorts inclined elevator. This amazing ‘lift’ is one of the longest of its kind in the world and provides an experience you won’t forget. The views from the open sided carriage are spectacular and the ride is so smooth, you hardly feel you are moving. Keep a look out for cheeky monkeys on the way down to the hotel’s private beach. Only hotel guests can use the inclinator. Take a long morning walk on the water’s edge is wonderful. The beach runs for miles and you can walk for as long as you like.

The Bulgari Spa

Indulge in luxurious treatments administered by a team of therapists, including deep massage with exotic oils and herbs, and the placement of warm volcanic stones on the chakras, the body’s seven energy centers, providing total relaxation and a soothing anti-stress effect. Warm stones used in combination with aromatic oils to rehydrate the skin: the Spa’s menu is designed to offer a series of complete treatments that integrate Asian and European approaches: the ayurvedic Balinese ritual, facial treatments, body wraps and Balinese massages, all at the ocean’s edge.

Swimming Pool

Set on the Resort’s easternmost edge, the Infinity Pool is flanked by comfy cabanas on one side and unobstructed ocean views on the other. Situated next to Il Bar, Sangkar Restaurant and Il Ristorante - Luca Fantin, it’s a prime location for guests, who are invited to enjoy food and beverage services right from the privacy of their cabana. Open exclusively to in-house guests, the Pool is open from 7 am to 7 pm each day.

Fitness Center

The Beach

The white sand beach between the cliff and the water’s edge is inaccessible to the general public from both ground and sea, as it is protected by a coral reef. The only access is from the Resort’s inclined elevator that takes guests to and from the beach as well as to the Beach Club. The absence of man-made development is often taken as an invitation by schools of dolphins to frolic in this stretch of sea, visible to guests from the ocean view villas and from the beach. As in most of the beaches in Bali, the heights of the tide as well as the strength of the current are prohibiting any swimming activity. The Beach Club has been conceived to provide guests with any comfort while sunbathing, to stroll by the beach, or simply to relax while enjoying lunch from La Spiaggia.

Ocean View Villa

The spectacular one bedroom villas offer extraordinary views of the ocean, some framed by the thatched roofs of other sea view villas and others spanning the entire horizon. Nestled within high perimeter walls, enter into a tropical garden, an expansive open-air living area, a spacious vestibule and an enormous bathroom with ample tub and shower. The interiors are decorated with pieces of antique Balinese art and equipped with an audio/video system. The private garden, for relaxing in the sun, and a plunge pool complete the idyllic picture which will give you one of the best holidays in Bali.

Il Ristorante - Luca Fantin

With only 36-seats, this intimate restaurant serves creative interpretations of classic Italian cuisine blended with local, organic ingredients all paired with the refined techniques and the great creativity of Italian Resident Head Chef. Open for dinner only, the restaurant offers a seductive ambience overlooking a reflection pool, enhanced with suggestive soft lighting. The wine list also features 200 bottles of predominantly Italian wines and an excellent Champagne selection. Dress Code: Resort Smart Casual. Singlets, t-shirts, flip-flops, beach and sports attire are not allowed. We request that gentlemen wear a collared shirt. Children under Five: In order to respect the restaurant’s ambience, children five and under are not allowed in the dining room. Families with young patrons aged five or under can enjoy other menus at alternative venues.

Sangkar Retaurant

With its extraordinary position at the edge of a cliff and its elegant yet informal atmosphere, distinguished by a magnificently illuminated ceiling and traditional woven lamps, the Sangkar Restaurant at Bvlgari Resort Bali offers a menu of international specialties, creatively combining popular Indonesian dishes with contemporary culinary techniques. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy Balinese dishes such as tamarind chicken breast or bamboo shoot and vegetable curry with turmeric-scented rice.

La Spiaggia

A cozy and intimate restaurant and bar where you can enjoy the freshest grilled seafood in Bali or the renowned Herbojito cocktail, while benefiting from the cool and nice sea-breeze as well as the magnificent views over the Indian Ocean. Located under the cliff, over the stretch of white sand beach of the Bvlgari Resort Bali, La Spiaggia is immersed into unspoiled nature. It is available exclusively for our guests, open for lunch from 12 pm to 4.30 pm, and only accessible through a funicular.

Il Bar

Sophisticated and comfortable, Il Bar opens into a terrace that overlooks a stretch of the island’s spectacular cliffs, offering enchanting views of the ocean and the Balinese sunset. Definitely one of the best beach bars in Bali - the curved bar counter in black resin is modeled on that of the Bvlgari Hotel bar in Milan, while its main element is a massive stone, sculpted entirely by the forces of nature. The menu at the Bvlgari Resort bar offers a refined selection of cocktails, quality wines, canapés and snacks, all in keeping with the Italian tradition of the aperitivo.
