Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang, known simply as the ‘E&O’ to generations of travellers - is a grand elegant and luxurious property, ideally located in the centre of Geroge Town. Accommodation is set in two different wings of the hotel. The Heritage wing is the original building, and finished a multi-million pound re-furbishment at the end of December 2019. The Victory Annexe is an extended wing that opened in 2013, built on the site of the hotel’s original Victory Annexe that was first unveiled by Arshak Sarkies in 1923. The Victory Annexe is designed with the needs and comforts of the modern traveller in mind, whilst retaining the old-world ambience and charm that are synonymous with the E&O.
